[MWC 2012] Nokia 808 PureView - 41MP Camera Phone

Nokia seemed to be focusing very hard in terms of camera capabilities. Recent MWC 2012 shows that Nokia is in it with the new Nokia 808 PureView which features 41 megapixel worth of camera sensor. Obviously this is by far the highest megapixel on a smartphone anyone has ever seen. The only problem is that it is running on Symbian Belle OS instead of Windows Phone OS.

Specification as below:

  • 1.3GHz single-core processor
  • 512MB RAM
  • 4-inch AMOLED with 360 x 640 screen resolution
  • 16GB internal memory with 48GB microSD Card expandable
  • Carl Zeiss lens with 41MP, Xenon Flash
  • 1400 mAh battery capacity
  • Bluetooth 3.0, WiFi, NFC
  • micro USB, HDMI

  1. Well, when they get this one out on more mainstream units it will be
time to start a new and probably more important camera feature race,
that of user controllable focus and exposure control. Then, when they
have that down, they can start on the last and greatest holy grail of
photography, exposure latitude. I can't wait!
