Huawei Honor U8860 - Android
Chinese maker Huawei will be releasing its own low-cost version of Android smartphones call Huawei Honor U8860 powered by Android 2.3.5 (Gingerbread). The device has a dual-core processor of 1.4GHz with 512MB of RAM. Internal memory is 4GB but there is a microSD expendable slot up to 32GB. One of the selling point would be the display. It has a 4" 16:9 capacitive display, resolution of 480 x 854.
As camera is getting more and more important features, the Honor spots a 8MP rear camera and a 2MP front camera. This is what you don't see everyday in low-end smartphones. Camera is capable of 720p video recording. Battery is expected to be 1930mAh which is a large capacity for a 4" phone.
Target market will definitely be in China and mostly Asian countries. Let's hope it do get to Malaysia eventually. No definite date for the actual release but expected to be within weeks.
