Maxis Value Plus Internet

Maxis launched a new contract free Value Plus Internet plans recently. Key selling point is no contract. As the plans described, for Value Plus Internet 80, you get 500MB data, 300 SMS and 300 minutes talk time across all networks. This is good for people who are currently on Value50 plan and with 500MB data package which cost RM50 + RM58 = RM108. With Value Plus Internet 80, you only pay RM80.

For Value Plus Internet 80, upon exceeding the quota given on the SMS and talk time, the charges are as below:

For Value Plus Internet 50 and 30, upon exceeding the quota given on the SMS and talk time, the charges are as below:

The difference is on the "call to other operators" charges. If you sign up for Family Plans, you get free 900 mins and 1500 SMS within your family.

In Summary, it looks like below:

When your data usage reaches 80%, it will prompt you with a notification. This is something new I have not experience before from Maxis.

  1. Originally, the monthly data for value plus internet 50 was 1GB. That is why I switch over from Digi. Now out of sudden and without any notifications, the monthly data is reduced to 250MB. Maxis is a liar. Gonna switch back to Digi.

    1. Was there a Value Plus Internet in the past?
I only know there was data package which is without contract. I personally subscribed to the 500MB for RM58/month.
