All over the news, you should have heard that all 3 major telcos (Maxis, Celcom, DiGi) are all preparing themselves for the iPhone 4S launching on the 16th December. The date is now confirmed as preparation from various telcos are on the way.
If you had registered for your interest with Maxis, you should have gotten your email invitation to the launching event by now. The launching event will be carried out in KL Convention Center on 15th night itself. As the clock strikes 12am, sales starts! So far, no plans had been revealed yet.
Celcom on the other hand is stepping up the game by allowing pre-order with a payment of RM200 at selected outlets. This skips a lot of hassle queuing up and having no idea when stocks will run out. Celcom will be having its launching at La Bodega, Bangsar Shopping Center starting from 9pm, 15th Dec. Sales as usual can only start at 12am, 16 Dec.
Over in DiGi, things are a little disappointed. Only registration of interest are shown on the website. No news regarding the launching or pre-ordering or anything whatsoever. What happened to the yellow man?
Latest update in the Malaysia Apple Online Store shows iPhone 4S coming in Dec 16th. So, if you're the type that still has further patience and not willing to spend hours queuing, this would be a better choice for you. Obviously you will not be one of the first few to receive the iPhone 4S.
