[DiGi] Galaxy Nexus Anyone?
Will DiGi be the first to bring Galaxy Nexus to Malaysia? or are they just testing market reaction before deciding to bring it in? According to my tweeter timeline, this tweet was posted approximately 18 hours ago. So, how was the reaction?
Currently in the grey market segment in Malaysia, the price of the Galaxy Nexus is fetching slightly above RM2000.
Hinted price is RM2099 (RRP).

[Jailbreak] iOS 5.0.1 Jailbreak for A4 Processors (untethered)
It's official now that the iOS 5.0.1 running on A4 processor is jailbreak-able. The official release was done. As posted by Pod2g earlier in the video demo, this is now official. Head over to iClarified for jailbreak instruction.
Unfortunately, this jailbreak is only possible for iOS devices which are running on the older A4 microprocessor. Which is iPhone 4, iPod Touch, iPhone 3GS and iPad 1.
As for iPhone 4S and iPad 2 (which is a A5 processor), we will just have to wait a little longer.

[Celcom] Blackberry Playbook on Sales Without Contract
I guess this is the end of the road for the Blackberry's tablet at least in Malaysia. Earlier there were other promotions from Maxis in bundled with the Blackberry Smartphones. But this time, Celcom is selling outright for the Blackberry Playbook. Yes, that is right - without contract.
- 16GB version - RM1088
- 32GB version - RM1388
- 64GB version - RM1688
One funny error would be the promotional period till 31st Nov. Problem is, there is no 31 days in November.

[Tips] Keyboard Shortcut on iOS 5
One of the cool feature on the iOS 5 which was not really made known is the keyboard shortcut. One shortcut was included by default is "omw = on my way". You could actually customized it to whatever you want. To do so, go to Settings -> General -> Keyboard
You should see "Shortcuts" and the default "omw" shortcut. Here I have added "wth" which in full is .. erm.. read yourself.
Either tap on "Add New Shortcut..." or tap on "Edit" at the top right corner. You can now add your own phrase and choose your own shortcut. Just tap on "Save" and you're done.
Official Angry Birds Theme Park - Espoo, Finland
Finnish playground maker Lappet's Managing Director, Juha Laakkonen told AFP that in collaboration with Rovio, they will be bringing the official Angry Birds Theme Park in Espoo, Finland by April 2012.
Why was it said that it will be official? In Changsha, China back in September 2011, a popular tourist spot named Windows of The World had already started something similar (refer to pictures above). But obviously that was not the official theme park version of Rovio.

iPhone 4S Plans Compared (Maxis vs Celcom vs DiGi)
The above 2 tables are the comparison of the iPhone 4S plans across 3 major telcos. The comparison are only done on a 16GB version with the most popular plans that most people would go for. The rest of the plans are probably too costly and only a minority would register anyway. If you would like to have a 32GB or a 64GB version with the same plan as above, the only difference would be the device price.
The comparison table only provide as a guide as a lot of factors should be taken into consideration when committing into a contract. Most importantly would be network coverage, 3G service coverage as well as technical support in the event of problems with the network. Also take note that only DiGi does not provide a 12 months contract. From the comparison above, it looks like DiGi is the cheapest in total after 24 months but the first payment upon registration is higher.
Celcom: iPhone 4S Plans
The last of the 3 giants. Celcom released its iPhone 4S approximately 30 mins ago from this posting. At a glance, it seemed like Celcom came up with a lower monthly commitment plan of i68 which is RM68/month.

Now it's official from Maxis. It is indeed similar to the leaked info yesterday. The only difference is that in parallel with iPhone 4S plans, there is also an option for the 8GB iPhone 4 which was earlier seen selling on the Apple Online Store.
From the plans that we got from DiGi, there is a difference of RM100 when compared to Maxis for the iPhone 4S 16GB variant. It's cheaper on Maxis based on RRP.
- iPhone 4S 16GB - RM2190
- iPhone 4S 32GB - RM2590
- iPhone 4S 64GB - RM2890
Nothing new in the plan except that you get free Maxis WiFi of up to 4GB and more data. In fact, the iPhone price is more expensive even after the rebate when compared to the previous iPhone 4.

iPad 2.4, 3.3 and iPhone 5.1
Report from 9to5mac.com shows a very reliable next generation iPhone and iPad update. Thanks to the new iOS5.1 seeding by Apple, 9to5mac managed to sniff out some important hidden code from Apple.
The previous iPhone 4 and iPhone 4S are marked with the string of iPhone4.1 and iPhone4.2. Coming from 4.1 to 4.2 shows no physical changes on the iPhone 4 to iPhone 4S. With the new string of iPhone 5.1, we should expect a probable major change in the outlook of the next generation iPhone which would probably spot a 4-inch screen which were much rumored lately.
As for the iPad 2.4 string, one could guess that there isn't much major change to expect from the outlook. It would probably be iPad with LTE version.
Coming further, iPad3.3 was also found. Could this be the real iPad 3 instead?

Hello Kitty Notebook
Fancy a Hello Kitty version of notebook? Japan's Mouse Computer releases LuvBook S with collaboration with Sanrio and Swarovski as the above shown picture. It has an Intel Core i3 processor with 2.2GHz. Screen size is 11.6" with a resolution of 1366x768 which is quite similar to most 11.6" netbook screen resolution. With the Core i3, I supposed this device falls in the category of notebook instead of netbook. HDD capacity of 500GB. 2x USB 2.0 and 1x USB3.0. The rest of the hardware specifications are pretty much standard. It was said to feature 1,100 Swarovski stones. It is now available at Japanese Yen 69,930.

U Mobile had published in their website for registration of interest for the devices of Samsung Galaxy 7 Plus, Samsung Galaxy W and Blackberry 9790. Registration starts from 23rd Nov 2011 till 1st Dec 2011.
Samsung Galaxy 7 Plus is kinda like the improved version of the first Galaxy Tab launched September 2010. The 7+ is powered by a 1.2GHz dual-core processor with Android 3.2 Honeycomb. Somehow it seemed like the OS is a higher version that then Galaxy Tab 8.9. Screen is 7-inch with resolution of 1024x600. 200 pixels short of the Galaxy Tab 8.9. Another major difference when comparing with the 8.9 is the battery. The 7+ has a battery capacity of 4000mAh whereas the 8.9 has 6100mAh.

As mentioned yesterday, Samsung releases the Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 today. The package starts from the lowest of RM1288 for the tablet.
For as low as RM58/month, you can own a Galaxy Tab 8.9 for the price of RM1398 with a contract of 12 months. From the retail price of RM1699, with this package, you will save RM301.

Celcom: Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9"
Next in line is the Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9. Celcom is rumored to launch the Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9" tomorrow (24.11.11). There are no news about fire-sales or any sale launching event.
It was announced a couple of months back together with Samsung Galaxy 7 Plus but it seemed like the 8.9" version got to the telco first. Price are expected to start from RM1699 for the 16GB version.
Device is powered up by 1GHz dual-core processor with Android 3.1 Honeycomb. It has a rather moderate camera specification of 3MP rear with flash and 2MP front camera. Battery is spotting a 6100mAh with the lifetime expectation per charge of 9hours+. It also has a HSDPA 21Mbps GSM capabilities. Display is as noted 8.9" with 1280x800 resolution.
