Samsung GALAXY Camera - RM1899
Samsung GALAXY Camera was officially announced today in Malaysia with the price tag of RM1899. It will be available for sale starting tomorrow (29th Nov 2012).
It has a screen display size of 4.77-inch Super Clear LCD capable of 1280 x 720 resolution. In terms of connectivities, GALAXY Camera has built-in 3G and WiFi with DLNA and Samsung Kies connectivity as well. Obviously HDMI 1.4 is a standard as well. The camera is powered by a quad-core 1.4GHz processor with the Android Jelly Bean 4.1.
Just so that we don't forget this is a camera, it has 16MP with 1/2.3" BSI CMOS sensor. The lens is f = 4.1 - 86.1mm (35mm film equivalent: 23 - 483mm) with 21x zooming. Internal storage capacity of 8GB with extension via microSD card capable of 64GB SDXC. Battery capacity of 1650mAh with microUSB charging capability. The device comes in White and Cobalt Black.
So, what's the difference between a normal camera and the GALAXY Camera? Connectivity.
Powered by Android OS with built-in 3G and WiFi connectivity, sharing a picture is definitely much easier and faster. No more hard-wired transfer from the camera to the computer and sharing via internet application like Facebook or Twitter. You can now do it directly on the camera. With DLNA and HDMI, sharing pictures or videos at home is simple. Although it does not allow you to make phone calls, you should be able to perform internet calls for example Skype.

Official Android 4.0.3 Ice Cream Sandwich for Malaysia's Samsung Galaxy Note
Finally the wait is over for the Samsung Galaxy Note users. All SME Malaysian Samsung Galaxy Note units will be able to get the update via the desktop Samsung Kies. There are several complains that the download is slow and the updating always gets stuck. There don't seem to be OTA update at the moment.
The official stock ICS Malaysian ROM has a kernel version of DXLP9 and a modem version DXLP5.
For those who can't tolerate the slow and problematic via Kies, you can always flash via PC Odin. The Malaysian firmware can be found here. The complete ROM file size is approximately 636.7MB.

Do You Have Problems With Your HTC One S Chipping Out?
HTC is reporting to replacing the HTC One S immediately upon return of your device to the location that you had purchased it from. It will be a 1-to-1 replacement terms but usually in a standard country related terms.
"HTC is committed to delivering a high quality product and great experience for all our customers. There have been a few, isolated reports of this issue. The finish on the One S was laboratory tested as being at a hardness similar to ceramic. While that's hard, it doesn't mean it's impossible to damage. Regardless, HTC takes quality very seriously and are providing all customers with an immediate fix and we are implementing some small changes to ensure customers do not experience this issue in the future."
Currently in Malaysia, we only have HTC One X and HTC One V. Hopefully there isn't any problems with the other two siblings.
