New Year, New Resolution, Foxconn Employees Still Planning on Jumping

This happened recently on the 3rd of January 2012. Foxconn's Wuhan manufacturing plant seen approximately 300 employees at the top of the roof threatening to jump if their demand were not met.

This event came about when the employees requested for a pay increase. They were then told to either terminate the contract and accept compensation of equivalent to 1 month salary per 1 year service or keep their job. Most employees took the compensation option.
Foxconn then decided not to pay compensation to those employees. The very next day, all 300 of them stood at the top level of the plant and decided to mass commit suicide.

The scene alerted the mayor of Wuhan. He then proceeded to persuade the employees to return. At approximately 9pm, the show ended and the employees returned.
